Participants will receive the full youth-choir experience (and more!) in this fun, creative, joyful camp and performance.

Students Will…
  • Learn vocal techniques through fun warm-ups
  • Receive sheet music to learn about and use
  • Gain confidence with their voices as we explore a variety of musical styles
  • Learn about and creatively implement harmony, arranging, and other musical concepts
  • Play fun music and theory games

The camp culminates in a final “showcase” (choir concert!) on Friday, 7/11/25, at which community, friends and family are welcome to attend.

Eligibility requirements?No experience necessary! Any child between the ages of 7-18 is welcome.
Additional Adult SupportAdult volunteers from the United Church of the San Juans (UCSJ) will be on site to help support kids and supervise. All volunteers will have previously completed Safe Sanctuary Training.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Most importantly, your child will learn what it is to be in a choir, from someone who has been directing, accompanying, and writing music for choirs for over twenty years. From music theory and sight-reading to vocal techniques to music arranging (and composition opportunities), your child will be a part of the best team sport ever: choir. 🙂 Students will be performing several pieces for the audience at the final showcase.

No refunds after the camp has started

Yes, there are limited financial assistance funds available to help families in need. Contact Katy if you would like to apply. These funds have been generously offered by the United Church of the San Juans.
